| would it be nice to have one more item of "10 recent active topics"? so that people will know the most current discussions. |

I'll look into it. In the meantime, you can always click on the "View posts since last visit" link. It's not exactly what you're requesting, but it will give you an idea of which topics are most active. It's easy to miss since it is so small. It is located on the right side of the forum index page just below the header. |
